The General Assembly (GA) is the Legislative Body of RHA, composed of one representative from every hall on campus. GA representatives are responsible for reporting RHA business back to their Community Council, serving on a committee within GA, writing legislation, planning programs and publicizing RHA and Community Council events. They meet weekly throughout the year.
Each year committees are formed within the General Assembly; these committees utilize the connections and abilities of RHA to create change on campus and within residence halls. Each committee is comprised of General Assembly and Executive Board members. GA has one permanent committee, the Funding Board.Funding Board is made up of 9 members and the Finance Director, who serves as a non-voting member. Funding Board serves a resource foremost for the Community Councils, but also for Resident Assistants (RA), and Quad events. Other committees generally include a Programming committee, a Communications Committee, a Community Service Committee and a Campus Issues Committee, however because they are created on a year to year basis they may change to fit the needs of the organization. For more information, download the RHA Constitution.
General Assembly meetings are held every Monday evening at 7pm, unless noted otherwise. Please refer to this page for updates on meeting times and locations. Along with weekly GA meetings, each General Assembly member is also required to serve one office hour each week in room 381 Shriver.
